PACCSA Yellowjackets Shine at the "Wildcat Dash" Youth Races

Wildcat Dash Start

On Saturday, February 15th, skiers from PACCSA's Yellowjackets youth program traveled up to Wilderness Lodge in Wattsburg, PA to participate in the "Wildcat Dash" kid's races.  It was a great day of competition in a storm that made the Wilderness Lodge trails look like a beautiful snow globe.  The Yellowjackets team in particular had a fantastic day with lots of podium finishes!

Top finishers received medals and chocolate treats, and every participant received a super-cool "Wildcat Dash" ski hat!

Bunny skier Malia Forsythe started off the day with an impressive 3rd place finish in her first-ever 1/2k Bunny Race!

In the boy's 2.5k classic, veteran Yellowjacket Michael Mazur took the win followed by Avie Harder in 3rd and Grey Harder in 6th!

In the girl's 2.5k classic, speedy Beatrix Cowles took the victory with her sister Betty Cowles following close behind in 2nd!

Finally, in the 2.5k skate race, a rocket-fast Bridger Hug came in an impressive 2nd, beaten only by a racer who was literally 6 years older than him!

PACCSA would like to thank all of our Yellowjacket families, as well as the coaches of the Wilderness Wildcats for putting on such a wonderful event!
