Laurel Mountain Volunteer Group Work Days 2026

The planned LMVG work days for 2026 are:

• Saturday 27 June 
• Saturday 18 July
• Saturday 12 September

In order to take part in a volunteer work day and receive notifications of future volunteer work days from Forbes State Forest, you must be signed up as a conservation volunteer in the new system which was introduced in January 2025.

To register in the new (Jan 2025) system:

1. Visit the new Conservation Volunteer site. 
2. Check out the Conservation Volunteer FAQs.  
3. Create your new volunteer profile and agree to the Conservation Volunteer agreement terms. Download "DCNR Quick Start Guide for Volunteers.pdf"

4. Once signed up, become a “Fan” of your favorite state park or forest locations. When you become a Fan, you will receive notifications whenever a new volunteer opportunity is posted.
