Our first volunteer day of 2018 is quickly approaching - We invite you to come out to Forbes State Forest on Saturday, June 2, 2018 for National Trails Day! We will be meeting at the Laurel Mountain Warming Hut, located off of Laurel Summit Road. 

The work day will begin promptly at 10AM and end around 3PM -  granola bars, water/Gatorade, and coffee will be provided. Please be sure to come prepared with long sleeves/long pants, work gloves, eye protection, sturdy boots, and a lunch.

Projects for our work day will include brushing back trails, removal of downed trees, re-channeling a few streams (everything is out of whack from all of this rainfall!), trail rearmoring/widening, etc.

You can save time on the day by completing the DCNR volunteer registration form beforehand.
