LMVG workday
This will be our last Volunteer Day of 2013. We will focus on maintenance needs north of the Turnpike. We will be clearing dead wood from the sides of a few cross-country ski trails, brushing back numerous trails, possibly installing a chimney for the warming hut woodburner, cutting and splitting firewood, armoring a few sections of trail, and doing other projects.
We will meet at 10:00 am, at the Warming Hut on Laurel Summit Road. From Route 30, take Laurel Summit Rd about 2.5 miles, and the Warming Hut will be on your left.
We will have a catered dinner from 3:30PM to 5:00PM, paid for out of the LMVG account! I am asking volunteers to bring desserts. All are welcome to stay for dinner. Wear long pants, boots, leather gloves, hat or hardhat, eye protection, and ear protection. Please pack a container for water, and bring snacks or a lunch. It is also a good idea to bring sunblock.
RSVP to Ed Callahan if you can make it, so that he knows how much food to order.
